Your Own Private Jamaica Steps Away from the Sea
Providence House, our most recent acquisition, contains three spacious master bedroom suites -- each with sensational sea views -- with all living spaces beautifully framing Bluefields Bay and the sunsets. The villa name was selected to pay tribute to a mission carried out by Captain Bligh in the late 1700's to bring breadfruit trees from Tahiti to the West Indies. Captain Bligh sailed to Bluefields Bay on his ship named Providence — with local residents at the time commenting that the ship Providence was like a "floating forest" when it arrived in the harbor. Their mission was so highly successful that breadfruit trees are now totally abundant in Jamaica and they are one of the island's most popular fruits. Please make sure to enjoy breadfruit chips and breadfruit salad while you are staying at Providence House!!
For three couples, Providence House’s three master bedrooms are identical in size, have equal bathrooms, dressing areas and each has a king-sized bed. This villa’s deep freshwater pool overlooks Bluefields Bay, has seats with whirlpool jets for splendid sunset-watching, and there is an adjacent bar for your enjoyment. Providence House’s main living room and dining room are situated one floor above the pool level and those spaces also provide fantastic sea and sunset views. This villa is our most “green”, as it offers energy efficient Air Conditioning units in 2 of the bedrooms as well as ceiling fans and has a solar hot-water heating system.
For more than 3 couples, Providence House and Milestone Cottage are directly adjacent to one another and can be easily combined to offer 3 master bedrooms and 1 smaller bedroom with 4 1/2 bathrooms.
