In building The Hermitage, major emphasis was put on using local workers and Jamaican materials (stone, marble, mahogany, cedar) to reproduce features of authentic and traditional Jamaican homes. Superb craftsmanship creating mahogany armoires and arches, handmade curved-top 8' tall glass French doors and classic West Indian louvers marks this testimonial to the continuing richness of Jamaican building traditions.

Set on 4 acres of beachfront land, this villa has two spacious master bedroom suites and two smaller bedrooms. Each has breathtaking views, western-facing terraces perfect for sunsets, gorgeous canopy beds, and other special furnishings. The Hermitage's Jamaican furniture is part of a larger collection assembled by the Moncure family to be enjoyed here in Bluefields. Below is a 1000' long private waterfront with many “hideaways” where it is easy to enjoy seaside seclusion. The site opens to the 1/2 mile long Bluefields Beach. The combination of our Jamaica luxury all inclusive villa with its adjacent beach is what keeps bringing our guests back.
